I have a recently purchased 98 trooper, when starting the vehicle there is a strong smell of gasoline. It appears to be worse when the tank is low on fuel and when it is warm outside. I have looked for any signs of a leak and found nothing. It isn't continous , mostly just for a short while after starting. Has anyoneexperienced anything of the such or have any suggestions as to the cause?

Have a look on the top of the tank (if you jack up the passenger side (if your a left hooker) rear and take the wheel off (axle stands Wink

) and see if there is any liquid where the pipes go in - you'll probably need a torch to see...
