Guess who broke down today and didnt have a spare fuel filter
I ended up nursing it 20 miles to get home, I think people may have thought it was a fuel protest on the A6
What i'm saying is it is good practice to carry a spare one if you start using veggie _________________ |

Rember following a bedford YMT 500 round the M25 a few years ago - that had a blocked fuel filter and we didn't have a spare with us, the motorway police were switching off the slow moving traffic ahead signs on the gantres as we were driving under them - managed to get upto ooo 5 mph occasionally
Blocked fuel filters are a pita _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

with all the hassle i've had with mine i'm not running on anything but diesel!! yes it costs more but for the miles i do, it's not an everyday vehicle and only need to fill up when going out to play! since going to sheffield last weekend i've only done about 40 miles!! _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

try having to replace the fuel pump twice within a month, have the injectors overhauled and the cylinder head off all for running problems!! i'll stick with diesel don't wanna risk anything!! _________________ landcruiser 80 series 4.5, 35's/33's for road, 2inch lift, discreet winch, sliders/armour, factory lockers, stainless side exit +++++ |

undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the guard and remove it then undo the 2 10mm bolts that hold the filter housing and then turn the filter housing upside down and you can undo it easy, prob easier to undo the pipes and take it off completly,
wasnt expecting the diesel filter to look like an oil filter _________________ atb kevin

Ive been lookin into this veg oil
Would one of these help your fuel filter problem or is the veg oil have more contamination in than diesel? _________________ 2011 3.0l Hilux Invincible

The problem is the % of glycerol in veg oil - glycerol is soap.
When you run veg oil it litterally washes any old oily depositis out of your fuel system which diesel has left there, and over time these end up in the filter, hence the need to change the filter shortly after first using bio or SVO. It only needs changing the once though - then back to normal filter changes after that. _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :
