hi ya,
My monitor goes onto standby and when i try to turn it back on it comes up with no rgb signal and returns to standby.
this normally happens if i leave it running for a while and then come back to it.
does anyone know what rgb stands for?
i'd like to get this sorted as my warranty runs out soon.they've allready been out and renewed the power supply and hard drive
because of other problems.
i have to turn off the power and start again which isn't great when your bidding on fleabay.
cheers mark. _________________

RGB (Red Green Blue) is basically the signal carried by the 15-pin VGA connector/lead between the computer and monitor. It may be worth checking the connections between computer and monitor... if you havent tightened the little thumb screws the connectors can work loose). |

If the RGB (dsub) plug going into the computer goes into one of the large vertical or hoirzontal slots, it might be that the card is loose, to check, take the top of the computer (switched off and unplugged) and see if the card which the lead goes into can be taken out and put back in.
The problems with the signinal coming from the computer though - not the monitor (although you can always check by plugging it into another PC) _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :
