Now this will undoubtably sound like a stupid question.. ...but here goes....
I have a 1999 3.0 trooper which i've had for a year now, but i've just noticed that there is no flap in the bit you put the fuel in
I'm convinced that there used to be, but maybe i'm wrong.
Can anyone tell me if i'm just being thick?? |

If you mean a piece of trim that covers the fuel filler cap, then yes, there also should be a small lever between the seats with a picture of a fuel pump on to open it _________________ 2011 3.0l Hilux Invincible

Do you mean the anti syphon flap in the filler neck itself? _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Worst case, na - the fuel comes from a pipe at the top, it'll drop to the bottom. You'll be alreet _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Yes, it makes your fuel easier to nick, not that it would stop them anyway _________________ |

I thought the flap thing is to stop fuel being splashed out if there is no fuel cap. _________________ 1997 3.1 commercial, bit of a lift, big knobbly tyres and more dints than last weekend |
