electrical prob i think, draft control not working, and the throttle has gone very sensitive, darn't use the foot throttle as it too jerky, and the hand throttle in the space of an inch goes from tickover to full throttle , ok when your ploughing but not on the road, and also the clock on the side of the seat doesnt work and also the flashy light doesnt work, the fuse ok so if any1 can help _________________ atb kevin

Sounds like a poor earth, check battery leads and underdash, also check alternator if faulty can cause computer issues!

Kevin like our mate said earth wire to be likely, also the earth wire form cab to chassis is a usual one gives untold problems at times. Had a fendt other day, fuses ok the dust got in the holder even caught the technician out for a couple of hours. Tractors and electrics dont mix very good ! |

makes sense that, when i was ploughing the other day, the draft was working then it slowly throughout the morning stooped working, swapped a couple of bits over from the 6465 but they didnt make any difference, on the dash on the side, there is a light that flashes twice, stops then flashes twice again an so on,
like you say, electrics and tractors dont mix, if you cant hit it with a hammer then it no good mind you the way its playing up a hammer would be fun _________________ atb kevin

Diagnostics again (like a trooper). How ever did Harry ferguson make a tractor ?. Weve gone electric mad, perhaps im old fashion, but i like a lever or pin and cable back to basics especialy on the heavy work equipment. We also have to pay big money to put things right. |

No chris in simple terms, it determins the depth of the implement in the ground,in Kevins case the depth of soil he is ploughing. Some crops dont need a lot of soil others do,hence the operator can set the draft for the depth control. Hope that makes sense. |

Hampshire Farmerspeak .
" Getd orrrrf moi laaaaaaaaaaaaaand ! " = I am reloading. A favorite of Richard Porter at Odiham.
" Ee wur thur but ee be gorn ! " = I must put oil in the engine. Very common on the IoW
" Ee wont do anuhttur cut then ? " = I have filed/worn all the teeth off. Arable mainly.
" Ee wurnt nevver tha dear ! " = Your invoice is questionable. Nationwide use.
" Oi aster go manor(farm) n do pig " = I am not helping you. General farming getout
" Ee be new !" = that part is only 3 years old it cannot be the problem. Common.
" That thur scales ,ee be wrong ! " = I am not grossing 49 tonnes on five axles. Limited to Botley test station. |
