Mick
I looked into this awhile back and couldn't justify the cost at the time as to get any decent power I would have needed a 80w + solar panel (for my needs) and I reckoned I was looking at an outlay of 500-700 quid - couldn't justify it
But will watch this with interest to see if someone has a good idea _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

Get a solar panel made for a house rather than buy one from a caravan shop..same panel but half the price and it will run everything in the caravan no problem.
My mate bought his for about £250 same panel in the motor or caravan shop was £500. _________________ Isuzu Duty Trooper 1993 Tdi LWB. |

I have a spare 195 Watt 45V panel, New £150, you will need to purchase an 50vdc MPPT controller to get it to charge 12V batteries.

I have a free standing folding 100 w solar panel. The connector is currently cigarette car type as that's what I fitted to my caravan. It can be changed for croc clips or any other type of connector just watch the polarity.
It has a case and a security cable.
I live in Worcestershire.
£200
Its more than adequate for vanning.
My current van has one built in.
