Look at the vin plate in the engine bay on the bulkhead in front the steering wheel usually.
It will give you a paint code.Let us know the paint code and we will tell you the colour combination and more specifically the paint that you need..

The chances are it will be one of 2 codes 733 or 734

The code 733 means it gives you both colours (blue and silver). It then needs to be broken down to give you the 2 individual colour codes.
This breaks down to a body colour of empire blue which as an individual colour code 858.
The bumper colour code of light mettalic silver which as an individual colour code 753.

Likewise 734 which means empire blue 858 and 749 iron grey - bumpers and lower part of vehicle.

I thought the second 3 numbers indicated the interior colour. Question

Is it the same colour as mine in my avatar picture? Halfords couldnt mix me some for the silver wheel arches but the body colour was ok.
Main dealer might be easiest for a touch up paint I would have thought, still havent got round to getting some myself.

If nothing else they should be able to tell you the paint code.

Darren if you search on line you can find the exact code match and halfords will make it up for you

Most of the silver colours seem to be vauxhall colours so you should get a pretty close match if you struggle to get it in an isuzu colour.

Yes on the plate you will get the body colour in the first 3 numbers and trim code is the second 3 numbers
ie BODY/TRIM 734/180
734 would be colour 180 would be interior colour of seats etc.

733 and 734 are the 2 most likely body colour combinations on the blue trucks of 1998 and 1999 so its one of those 2 thats likely to be the 1st 3 numbers on Darrens Vin plate.

Ok sorry I was confused with your post about 2 sets of numbers, so when Halfords made me a pot of paint out of the first 3 numbers it will be the wrong colour as it should have been broken down into 2 other sets of numbers? am I getting this correct as I would also like to get a can of paint to spray one of my arches but they couldnt make the silver up for me. I believe now that they were trying to make it up with the interior code (second set of three numbers).

All - very simialr subject.

I realise the difference between the exterior paint code and the trim code.  Some one has kidly posted a very long list of trooper options numbers on the forum which has helped.

I have a 1992 2.8TDi trooper (old shape) which i'm in the process of making roadworthy/. i'm putting a new wing on and patching up a few bits.

My external paint code is 886 Trooper Blue 2 (as there is a trooper blue 1) and Pewter metallic for the bottow half.   How can I find the individual paint codes for this combination?  I'm wanting to get 1/2 litre of each and it's pretty steep so I want to get it right!

If you could point me in the right direction that would be great. Cheers Rj

All - I've found the Pewter metalic in the list as 825 and Trooper blue 1 as 842. Does anyone know if these are right to make up combination code 886? Cheers
