help ive just bought an old mk1 2.6 petrol with no mot have found some holes 1 in o/s chassis just behind drivers seat 2 o/s,n/s inner arches 3rear cross member will any of these pass a mot and what are the common things to watch out for any insight would be grateful  Confused

Are they round holes. Punched in the chassis? There are quite a few.
The handbrake can be a pain.  Look at these threads.

there are about 4 holes in a line near to the body mount out rigger and the hand brake is holding it on a set of ramps at mo so i think its workin

there definitly rust as there irregular and have sharp edges

In that case they will have to be welded up.
If you know someone with a MiG it will be just beer money, a garage will charge a bit more,
but at least it is accessable and will not require the carpets and things to be stripped out.
