The hole as in the square one cut in the hood that the scoop fits over.

Do you want the hood scoop for a purpose, or just for aesthetics?  I know some of the guys on other forums in the U.S. want them just for the look.

Yeah I'm on one of the forums in the States.  It would be for looks, but I've heard they might help our engines in the states by cooling down the engine block.. I'm not sure how I would attach the scoop to my bonnet, so I was just going to buy the whole bonnet with the scoop but no one is willing to package it and ship one for me.  The only quote I have recieved was for 160 pounds.

I shipped my TJM bumper in the opposite direction, and the shipping wasn't cheap to say the least, best part of $500 at the time  Shocked  Shocked . I reckon it would be cheaper for you to buy a scoop over there, and take it to a bodyshop. Or be brave with an angle grinder  Razz .

Only problem with that is the reinforcing will have to be cut allowing the bonnet to flex out of shape. I believe the factory scooped bonnets are strengthened differently...

Shocked His Trooper is nice looking!! Looks new!

Do you guys have any breaking yards websites I could possibly look at? I tried google.co.uk but didn't get much. I and a lot of other Isuzu owners really wish we had the 3.1 TD in the states!

I heard that was an issue too.  Since on my hood the brace comes to a intersection right in that spot.

TBQH, I hadn't thought of that  Rolling Eyes . I kinda assumed the framework was the same for both.

However, If it's just for cooling the block as opposed to an intercooler, you could probably leave the reinforcing in place (depending on exactly how it lies) It would only be visible from the underside. I'm not sure how thick it is, and it's too cold and dark to go out and start pulling the soundproofing off right now  Rolling Eyes .

I'll take a couple of photos 2moro and get them on here for you.

If its for cooling why not find a hot rod shop that can punch some louvres in to the hood?  Either that or buy a steel cowl hood scoop from these guys  www.thespeedcenter.net/Picture2FrameSet.htm and get a body shop to massage it to fit the hood and open up a hole under it.  Theres also plenty of options of assorted sized fibreglass scoops you could fit.
