Hmm .. interesting.

You definitely have a turbo fitted?

May pay you to start a new thread so this one doesn't get confused.

That way others may also see it and offer advice Wink

Back again

My bad  there is actualy a hole where the vac pipe uses to be on the plate so I need a new plate and then somonwhere to run the line on the inlet hopefully that solves the problem.

Theres a valve on the bulkhead side of the inlet can I use that to feed the fuel pump?
Is there anyway you suggest to buy a replacement plate?

Cheers

That makes a lot more sense now Very Happy

Ok you need a plate from another pump.

Dan @ Independent Isuzu may have an old pump lying around:

http://www.independentisuzu.co.uk/contact-us.html

Failing that there are loads of applications this pump is used in, so it is quite common. Any diesel specialist in the area should be able to source something for you. It is a Bosch VE pump and that top plate is used on all 2.8 TD 4JB1 and 3.1 TD 4JG2 engines.

If not you can always take the plate off and someone local may be able to braze a new pipe on for you. The hose I use is 3mm ID vacuum pipe so a piece of 1/8" copper pipe would be suitable.

As for the inlet you will need to fill the hole in to start with, and find somewhere to site another port. I think there may be one on the bit with "2800 TURBO" cast into it. Should be on the side facing you at the bottom to the left. Just next to the inlet flat actuator.

You could always drill out the hole and thread it and then screw in a port like this:

http://www.eebuygum.co.uk/itm/FACET-brass-union-fuel-hose-fitting-1-8-nptf-6mm-outlet-AIR-FUEL-OIL-/120751448235?hash=item1c1d58e0ab:m:mprCm-syJGl339G9NkbCMuw

That is a random one I found. I don't know how big the hole is, also you will have to take the inlet off to make sure swarf doesn't get into the engine. Mind you it will probably have to come off to have the hole filled.
