hi all.
after buying the trooper yesterday and joining the forum mainly to ask about a timing belt as the trooper has no history. tonight i had my first problem as it would nt start from hot and then cut out under braking twice. again reluctant to start.

i didnt know about the starting problems of a trooper enough to have its own section on this forum  Sad

anyway bought a timing belt and pulley from milners and a service kit + oil only to find out its the wrong oil

Q1 why would they sell the wrong oil in there kit?
Q2 must be ok to use the oil?

thanks

It is not recomended to put anything but 5/30 fully synthetic oil in the 3.0 trooper.

If it cut out under braking I would clean the contacts on the brake light fuse.
