For what it's worth, I'd use something a little heavier than tin plate, 2 - 3mm steel will never blow through and will resist temperature change far better than a bean can. _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

I used beer cans to block off my valves but they melted through by the next day luckily causing no damage .i couldn't find anything else
at the time,
i've ended up making some out of the stainless steel on a couple of old wallpaper scrapers. never again will i
try drilling through that stuff 6 blunt drill bits later £25 and 3 trips to B&Q it was finally done. _________________

have cut and grinded away at the computor side and have blanked the egr valves off i sealed them with some exaust paist because of the turbo presher in the in let manifold. am i right in doing this? would you recomend that i blank the exaust side off as well? if i dont and the egr valves open would it throw exaust out of them in to the engine bay? thanks all _________________ presumption is the mother of all f**kups |

if the exaust side of things is blanked ,this has got to improve gass flow hasnt it? gear change is smoother by the way and no black smoke _________________ presumption is the mother of all f**kups |

You need cobalt bits not standard ones. Also you can sharpen blunt bits with a grinder with a bit of practice.

Just be careful as you don't want it squishing out into the inlet and going through the engine and turbo.
I used standard gaskets to seal mine. _________________ Front Aussie Locker - Rear LSD - Petrol Diffs
