first off you need to find out where the water went. prob suggest checking the oil level and colour of the oil also. another thing to check if there is any leaks in the pipes. if all ok i think it will be bad news. the head which was new could warp if it got to hot.

backpressure by the sound of it. it has a blockage in the system propably go for the rad. one it can bung up when a head gasket goes and two it might be the reason it went in the first place. try draining all the water out of the system and then fill with rad flush drive around a bit. then drain again and fill with water. make sure to burp it every time you fill

ok if you put water in the top part of the rad it flows easily out the bottom. does sound like bad news tho. but you do have to find out why the system is back pressurising tho

Right, today it's been flushed, toppped up with rad flush, run for 15 mins (in which time most of it had poured out in a frothy foam from the expansion tank), drained, flushed, refilled with coolant and burped.  Frothy water comes out of the blled nut as it gets upto temp and then starts to bubble through expansion tank hose.  All in all, problem still there.  It seems that the water isn't passing through the system??

Next steps fellas?
