measure and check twice ...... drill once ..... helped adz when he done his and it was pretty straight forward but still unerving when that hole saw starts cutting ... no going back then lol ...... still got mine to fit ... firstly need to go and pick it up from my courier then make a template for wing so i've got that little bit extra pressure of getting it right

have you done a mock set up to make sure you don't have the same probs as simon (big yellow) .... not heard of any others having probs apart from the little bit fabing we no we have to do (3ltr owners) so not sure why simon's wouldn't fit
although i do have some theories  Wink

Where's it from Col, Maybe the template from mine would do it? I could cut one out and post it to you when it comes if you think it might do the job Wink

that looks like a 3ltr one dylan so won't fit yours ...but no point chucking it out ,just send it up to me lol

adz still has template of his snorkel .... not sure if he's tried matching it up to mine but he did say it looked different
so like gary say's i might have to make a new template which shouldn't be too hard to mock one up ....then i can get it fitted
get even more air into engine and get my mpg down even further lol  Laughing  Laughing

I was worried BUT it all became clear,

When original air intake is taken off you see where the holes are for the brass bar that is template for the inner wing hole goes.
It can only go in one place

So away i went with the hole saw

OOps i forgot to take one with the cardboard template on but that can only go in one place too, then cut away (adz i didn't get a pic of my face as my mate was busy and my hands were tied Laughing )

The inner part fits bang on

And hey presto

For good measure i put some good sealant on all joints and on the bolt and washer holding main parts together. I started later than i hoped so the snorkel is all i got done (i must have walked round the wing for an hour and a half before i set too with cutter hilarious ) But all in all i'm chuffed Very Happy
