Hi! Can anyone tell me if the timing belt (change due) warning light actually works?! My Bighorn has done approximately 53k miles (I hope Confused ) and I'm wondering when I can expect to see this light come on - apart from with ignition! And...do you have to take it to a dealer to cancel and reset the light? All answers gratefully received. Leo. Very Happy

To reset the timing belt light on my 93 trooper you need to remove the instrument cluster and move a screw from one position to another. Can find out exactly where the screw is and you can do this yourself so no need for a main dealer. If your mechanic uses the data books for timing belt instructions/times it should tell them how to do this, the Wurth System that i have access to tells you this.

Hope this is of help.

Barry

The timing belt light will come on once you've done 60K.

Cheers JIM.
