And they're going to do this as a recall
Why?? Surely if the engines met emission standards applicable at the time of sale then there is no reason for the to update for future standards. Or am I misunderstanding something
Not that I'm complaining thought- if I'm going to get the injectors om my Troop replaced for nothing - bring it on

I thought the ceramic heater problem was a electrical problem form what I have read a case of replacing a cable with a longer length to reroute it, where as the injector problem was specific to the 3.0D troopers or have I got this wrong _________________ 1998 Isuzu Trooper 3.1DTi SWB Commercial

Hooooooorray.---My notification arrived yesterday.
In a white A4, with "ISUZU, SAFETY RECALL, this is not a circular" printed in red on the outside.
Standard letter advises of 'safety concerns' of 1. The Ceramic heater and 2. Engine Emissions and asks that I contact a dealer to have the necessary workcarried out F.O.C.
As I have not contacted/pestered IM over these matters, I can only presume that they are aware of all Troop owners who have purchased their Troops (new or s/h) via the dealer network.
If so, any owners who have bought from non-dealers or imports will need to make sure IM are aware of their ownership.
---- now to find a dealer whome I have confidence in to carry out the work! easier said than done. May have to travel abroad, (over the border)

They track the owners of the vehicles via DVLA - they will supply a list of Chassis Numbers to the DVLA who will then supply IM with name & address etc for the owners. _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

Are all Isuzu 3.0 going to get this recall letter, or is it just the ones which are still covered by warranty? _________________ Jo |
