Here is a picture of my beat up Trooper 3.1td.

I have just fitted Insa Turbo Sahara tyres in 235/85-16 size on the standard steel wheels which I painted hammered black.
The front is lifted 1.6" with low-pro droop snubbers, the back is lifted 2.6" on blood red springs, 30mm coil spacers and Procomp +2" shocks and front and rear anti-roll bars have been removed.

Will try and get some pics of it flexing.

There are dents all down one side where a tree got in my way, and the sills are all dented from where it bellys out.

Need to flip the front/upper ball joints to gain back some extension travel as the snubbers are still hitting hard going over bumps.

Allready fitted the low-pro snubbers (10.2mm) and 6mm spacer on shock.

It's going well for 186,000 miles! Been running 17psi and increased fuelling (Aneroid valve) for the last two years. Very Happy

Just flipped the front upper balljoints, not that hard to do.

Only problem now is that I have some visible positive camber! May have to wind the torsions bars up a bit. Rolling Eyes

how do you stand with v**a with regards the m** having removed your anti rolls frnt and rear?

I took my front off when this occured----

one side and------

Now the other, am stuffed if I can actually find out the real cause of the bally thing ending up like that but the bushes were fine and it just seems like its bent too far but as I dont have a new one for reference its mere speculation!!!

Not to sure about MOT.

no everything under there is standard only a set of after market shockers, she was not touching before the festive hoidays when I crawled under her for the ritual of servicing!!!

Dont really intend to put them back now though as she feels much more competent off road and as I dont drive too fast the body roll is irrelevant, any way if you drove an early classic without them over a bridge on a windy day I would say that a Troop minus its ARBs is tame in comparrison?

Any way I amgonna chat to the guy who does the DOEs for me and see ifhe says she'll need  em back on but might chance my arm and put her in anyway, whats the worst that could happen? gotta get em back on again in time for the re-test!!!!

That is a Range Rover Classic with no ARB in my Avatar so I have to agree with you! Trooper is fine with no ARB.

Well I discovered the real cause of the ARB demise on the faithful troop and it was down to my wonderful girlfriend and trying to teach her to drive in the yard, only problem there was that she took the corner of the car park too fast and didnt straighten up in time which subsequently saw us mount the rock bank surrounding the pond with a rather loud thud but as I couldnt see any immediate life threatening damage just dismissed it, but today on closer inspection of scrape on bumper and front member which placed the ARB right in the battering line for the rock party that won the fight!!!!!

Oh well, prefer with out to be honest, much more exciting Laughing  Laughing  Laughing
