I have not turned my back on the faithful Isuzu but I have bought a Discovery for work purposes, they are going to pay the expenses so its win win for me, but what sort of MPG can I expect from a 3.9Efi? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

I'd guess at 21-22 on a steady run
14-15 town and single figures with a lead foot _________________

well all I can say is that this is not the bad news I was expecting
I had a rough figure in the head from running an old classic of around 18, but am hoping that the auto box and cruise control will take care of me on the longish runs, thank god it has an LPG kit fitted and that wont take more than a service to get up and running again, the cost of LPG over here at the mo is 54 euro cents to the litre and thats a rise from the pre winter 42 euro cents per litre so with petrol nearly three times that I WILL be sorting that out!
Thanks guys
might even get a load of the bigger jobs done on the troop now, bushes, ball joints, suspension etc,. etc,. _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

got better than that in the range but wouldnt say i had neither a lead foot nor a feather light slipper either, but then again with the LPG that much cheaper suppose it wont matter that much, will it?????? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

Well if the LPG is approx half the cost of petrol then its approx the equivalent of doing 26mpg |

Been on the LRO site and some guys on there are talking up 17/18 mpg on LPG and they speak of 21-23MPG on petrol.
Personally dont think they can be far out for a 3.9 auto? _________________ Dead on my feet but sitting on my *beep*!!! |

Thats a bit *beep* for a 3.9, I get mid/upper 20's on petrol from my 4.3L V6 and about 19/20 on gas, and thats needing a service. _________________ Phil

Maybe mine had a fueling problem, it did eventually have to go because of running problems. |
