I didn't take a pic of the fork and axle is back together. tbh when you have it in front of you its very simple design.

As mark says with wider track, rear axle is wider, the front axle is same width but drive shafts are longer and the longer bottom ball joint and I think upper wishbones.

Locker tested and all working as it should  Very Happy lower cross member modded to clear the axle and the armour modded to fit. need to do the exhaust as got about 1mm clearance to the front prop!! Cv angle is better and don't max out on full droop now. Back to hd ball joint steering rods now too but will be changing the design of the rose jointed ones at some point and trying again.

Nice clean and shiny new shocks too  Very Happy  went for rough country nitro ones, plus 1.5 inch to replace the tired rancho's, drives nice and smooth and doesn't keep bouncing when go over speed humps now!

Look good buddy. Only criticism is that shock absorber shaft looks a little exposed.

I used to run with shock boots on but found they held mud/muddy water in, know quite a few people who run without them for the same reason.

Fair enough, just keep them greased then I would. Either way loving the work done.

These are bolted up where they belong, went for silver this time instead of bright red, still stand out a mile though! Couple of welds to hold the lock nuts in place (they can come loose when flexing suspension) bolts that hold them on also have a weld on them  Wink

Extension piece for the armour so it meets the gear box cross member and follows the shape of it, plan on fully re making the armour at some point as not 100% happy with it.

Played about with the transfer box gaurd too, made it a lot flatter at the front and used part the mk2 gaurd, it makes it double thickness at it's lowest point (round the drain plug) and puts a better curve on the back edge, found the mk4 one a bit too square for my liking.

it's all painted and sat in the garage as don't need it on just yet.

Had a small flex up, easily went higher up the bank but my handbrake wouldn't hold it! Gonna take the missus next time so she can take some pics of it fully flexed up for me, still got plenty left in it yet  Very Happy  tyres seem to have good clearance too and no rubbing issues.
a little taster...

More will follow when got someone else to take the pics.

And the one it's gotta match up to/beat  Twisted Evil

Hi Gary, any chance you could post a pic of your modded transfer gaurd in place on your truck?
Cheers
Pete.

I will do when bolted it on mate, I don't like how the main ally gaurd fits with the axle drop so starting again! It did come off the mk2 so was never fully happy with it lol.

Cheers mate, wanting to get some protection underneath mine and ideally mod the tranny guard. So a pic of yours to guide me in the right direction would be great.
Thanks
Pete.
