Wrote of my 3.0 trooper on black ice in february, needed a 4x4 quick for work picked up a  1995 2.8 pajero LWB auto that I thought would do for a few weeks till the insurance was sorted out, oh horror of horrors I quite like it just a couple of annoying problems which I think are all related to the inhibitor switch.

1 it will start in any gear not just N or P

2  On the gear selection indicator N D & R are all lit regardless of what gear is selected L 2 & P work as they should

3 No reversing lights

I have a Haynes manual but its pretty vague,  no inhibitor switch where it says it should be in the manual in fact autobox is not exactly as described in manual

Any ideas would be appreciated, I have posted on POCUK with no joy but you guys on here are much smarter, grovel, grovel.
