Has anyone had experience of changing a water pump on a 3.1TD (mine’s a 1996 Duty). Without such a thing as a Haynes, some of these jobs are a bit more of an unknown. I’m told that the vehicle has a ‘viscous’ fan fitted. Is this easy to take off to then change the pump?

Any advice will be very much appreciated.

Andy

Hi Andy
The viscous fan is fairly easy to remove there is just 4 nuts holding it to the waterpump pulley.
Hope this helps

Phil

Thanks for this Phil. I’ll get a pump on order and do the job myself.
Regards,
Andy
