Went to Buildwas today with my usual crew (Trooper, Defender, Frontera) I even took the wife & allowed her to drive the mighty Trooper......

Normally I report back to you with some amusing tale & photo of the Defender's antics. Unfortunately today was a bit more serious, my pal was tackling part of the tree section when & god only knows how, he managed to career off the track over another heavily rutted track & career down the embankment into a tree. Sadly his foot slipped off the brake onto the accelerator & he hit the tree at some speed.
Thankfully he is ok but the Defender, not so good.
The winch bumper was pushed right back onto the wheel, radiator went, the engine popped off its mount & the chassis under the passenger door is bent. We managed to pull & winch it out & then I towed him home on a A-frame.

He's quite cut up about it as we're not wreck heads nailing our trucks & money is tight so its the last thing he needs.

His brother seems to think replacing the chassis may be worth a look but not sure yet.

When he's reflected on it I may suggest selling it as parts & he will have enough to buy a 3.1 Troop

Anyway heres a taster before disaster struck, the ground is absolutely solid, no give at all. So I would recommend some rain before you venture there.
