Hello everyone, was looking for some advice on fitting a cb radio into the space my disc changer is located on the dash under the radio, it's a 99 swb trooper citation and the disc changer is faulty and don't work so would it be possible to remove the changer and fit a cb in it's space and use the disc changers power wires to power the cb?? I've saw some small size units I recon would fit the space but has anyone done this before as I don't fancy butchering my dash or drilling holes to mount it in!

If you take of the gear lever plastics and then the black surround of the main dash you will see the stereo and changer are seperately screwed to the metal framework of the dash. Simply unscrew the cd changer and replace it with a storage slot from a lesser specced car. or fab up a panel from scratch. This is where my CB is. I would have thought a +12V and earth could be gleamed from the power source of the Changer
