Caught mine out last night. Just shutting the room down to go to bed and I decided to put the light on again. There they were for at least half a second .
They've decided to live in the wing of the plane , so when they hide they really hide _________________

The plane is a fantastic bit of tank furniture. I'd like to have a slightly more interesting tank than ours which contains 2 goldfish
Them clown things sound great. What sort of water temp do they need?
That plane was a bargain at £23 Most of the ornaments that size are £50 - £80 . My tank has been at 24C since I set it up, but I've just turned it up to 25C to see if they prefer it. _________________

Lost 8 fish in 4 weeks .
The 6 Dwarf Gourami started fighting each other, taking big chunks out of each other 'til they were all gone. I won't be getting any more of them , and my 2 Loaches just gave up the ghost within a week of each other after nearly 5 years. The tank looks kinda empty now . _________________

My gourami's (not dwarf) lock lips but apart from them turning white for a while they don't do any damage. I hate losing fish Touch wood i haven't lost any for a good while. Get a Plec in there, They supposedly can do 25 years + _________________
Had a look in 3 shops this morning, no plecs . Ended up coming home with 3 zebra snails . Fancy getting a few shrimp too .
I have given up on the OEM filters though, they were costing a fortune. So much easier and cheaper using the foam. Got one filter set up with carbon, and the other with a nitrate removal sponge, does the job so much better. _________________

To tell you the truth Steve my Juwel should have carbon filters every couple of weeks and i have never bothered,
My water is always perfect, I do a 25% water change every fortnight which should be done anyway, All i do is change the top filter (poly wool filter pads) and wash two out of three of the others in tank water swapping which ones i wash so they all get done at least monthly (have i explained that clearly? )
If you really want a plec you'd get one up here (maybe June?) only an hour max to yours so it would be fine I've actually got one thats about 6 inches long and wont grow any more (ask deb if you can have her/ i'm not holding my breath though ) as i also have a giant one
The big one keeps uprooting my air stone too _________________
No doubt they'll have a plec here next week, but thanks for the (offer?) I'm changing the poly pads and doing a 20% water once a week at the mo, and doing the sponges monthly, but alternately. I do keep getting a green spot algae bloom, so I'm having to take all the furniture out every so often and scrub it
The neon tetras are fine, so I'm assuming all is well as they're usually the first to show signs if things aren't right.
Just a bit gutted I've got no cleaning crew at the mo. _________________

Oh well, 3 Sucking Loaches, 3 Silver Tipped Tetras, and 3 Rubby Nose Tetras found a new home today . Not bad for £16. Need a magnifying glass to see them though . _________________
