It is possible to fit auxilliary rear/stop lights in the dummy cluster above the reversing lights. In traffic I find the bumber mounted lights a little too low down, espcially as I have no high-level stop lihgt in the rear screen.

Lynn,

Id love to know how you get on. Sadly, not too many breakers yards up here. In fact there's not much of anything!

Lights fitted this afternoon, it took some time to feed the drivers side wiring through to the main loom junction on the nearside, I had to use an electricians fiberglass "mouse " in the end . took just over an hour to do .
Next project is to deal with the "glowworm" head lights and see if the lamp units will take a higher wattage bulb ( heat wise )

Hi Lynn
I mentioned this a few months ago. Most replies seemed to think that it was a simple case of 'better' bulbs. However when I spoke to my main dealer they advised against it. They had had several people in with burnt out looms. I will watch your replies with 'great' interest.

Hi Flashman, I was thinking of running relay controled parrellel wiring to the head light units to over come cooking the loom but I am concerned about the headligh units themselfs would a stronger bulb be too hot ? I am thinking of putting a high wattage bulb in an old headlight unit to see what'll happen, but will have to wait till the old man is out !!! Very Happy

Was looking into changing my bulbs for the H4's in my motorbike. Have a pair of blue 80/100w units in that.
Did not do the change as could not get the originals out. Have only had the Troop 3 months and still waiting for my W/S CD to get here.
Any clue if the lamp units and loom can handle these bulbs?
Also any clu as to the correct procedure for getting at the original ones.
Am resident in Spain and info is very scarce here.

Cheers
