Hello DB ... Has it ever worked Question I have only suffered one problem and that is with a rear door it will open but not lock.

If you are satisfied that all the connections are OK and its possibly the unit at fault ...... you may be able to swap it with one of the others .... check with a dealer and see if the part numbers correspond.

jon have you tried screwing the lock indicator down a bit more some times on the 3.1 and 3.0l when it comes up it falls ever so slightly to one side then hits the metal bodywork of the door on the way down and stops it locking. either screw it down a bit more so it doesn't come over the metal door or angle the bottom corners a bit.

Hello Eithan and a warm welcome to the Forum.... it appears you have encountered this problem before, I stripped the unit out of my door and it would appear its within the unit as it only functions one way even though there is a supply for the reverse action...... I didn't go to the extent of swapping it over with another .......... did you price one up on yours .... mines a 95 3.1 rear passengers door.
