The following applies to troops with the dash mounted wiper switch.

I've been having the good old "intermittent intermittent" wiper problem since I bought my Monty. As I had no way to test the relay, I decided to test the switch instead.

I removed the switch from the dashboard & got the old multimeter out.

After much testing I found the following (the black block signifies the connector on top of the plug):

    Pin 6 is the feed

Pin 7 is low speed (test between 6 & 7 to establish closed connection when the switch is set to Low)

Pin 3 is high speed (test between 6 & 3 to establish closed connection when the switch is set to High)

Pin 5 is for the wash button (test between 6 & 5 to establish closed connection when the wash switch is pushed in)

Pins 4 & 9 are for the light

Pins 1 & 2 are for intermittent (test between 6 & 1 and 6 & 2 to establish closed connection when the switch is set to Int) but.......

The resistor controls the output between pins 8 & 10.

When testing between pins 8 & 10, turn the intermittent switch and you should get a range of 2 to 20 ohms.

Mine spiked & died all over the place, showing that it's the switch that's at fault (of course, the relay could be duff too!)
