Blimey Dylan, I thought it was Nick Knowles in that picture at first  Laughing
Nice motor Gary, I do like Land Cruisers. No wonder the arabs love em...you need shares in an oil well to fuel it!

Been upto a couple of things with the lc, mainly cleaning up the chassis to repaint and putting fuel in it  Laughing
Getting a nice collection of goodies in the garage for it now.

Stock ride height and 35x12.50's fit a treat

Will fit even better when got new shiny bits fitted, will finish painting chassis etc before fit it though

Right update time as it's been a while!!

Been on with a bit on the cruiser and it's a bit taller then before,

First job was to re paint the chassis and get the underside as clean as the bodywork, took a lot of hours and paints but worth it

Then got some shiny new suspension fitted

and the end result is a taller 80 series

next up I altered the storage box from the trooper and fitted to the lc, the spare wheel mounts on top in the boot and doesn't get in the way of the rear view

rather then just a top lid (which would be a pain if I had to remove the spare everytime to get in) the front panel now unlocks and drops down

Then I got on with the winch, you can get a factory winch so the front of the chassis is designed to take one and it was quite an easy job to do

A few minutes with the angle grinder and the bumper was cut to fit the winch (steel bumper)

And a viewing hole in the top to see the line going onto the drum

which has a bolt on cover when not in use

The wander lead plug is mounted out of the way on the side of the A bar

And the solenoid is tucked away next to the battery

Got on with some sliders with the plan of keeping the stock side steps ( can afford to lose a small amount of ground clearance)

They sit nicely under the side steps which keeps the wife happy lol

Then had someone decide I didn't have enough work to do and damaged the front bumper in a car park (little 'un nearly learnt some new words) came back to it to find it bent in and scraped so wasn't best pleased

Had to beat back into shape and apply a bit of filler, then paint the bumper. it's not perfect but better then it was.

And most importantly it rides on 35x12.50's nowadays

Makes the focus look a bit small too

It's even had another good clean and hardwax applied

Got the sliders to paint still then bolt them back on and I've got plans for a steering guard and transmission guard.
The only negatives I've found to the 35's is a bit of road noise and the mpg is a little bit worse, performance is still good and doesn't feel much different to drive.

Got some plans for the exhaust which will get re routed as don't like where it goes currently (bends under the chassis on the petrol), it means moving the cat converters and custom headers but will most likely wait until it fails as it won't be a cheap job!

Just need to finish off the gaurds and take it out for a play  Very Happy

Cheers. Looking forward to getting it off road and seeing what it'll do. Intend on testing the lockers in anger.
