I was just about to purchase a 2001 Trooper Duty 3.0i from a dealer in
N Ireland-the vehicle has English reg plates. I'm concerned to read about an Isuzu recall - is there any way I can establish if the vehicle in question has had work done under the recall and if not what do I do about it?

Any Isuzu dealer should be able to tell you from the VIN number (JACUBSXXXXXXXXXX) on the plate under the bonnet.

If its on the system its UK and recallable, shouldn't be a problem.

If its not on the system, its a grey import and you may have a great deal of trouble getting Isuzu to take responsibilty
