So thats what that brass coloured bar is for! One down, plenty more to go...and what are the rivets for?  Very Happy
Why they don't put instructions in is beyond me.....

The rivets are for the little bracket that goes onto the windscreen pillar to hold the snorkel Wink

hi guys, its been a while but...... ive got a snorkle just like that one,

but it doesn`t fit my mk1.  i will be bringing it with me to bb2013 if anyone wants to buy it £80

as its got a bit of damage to the top/head part, but other than that its all there.

also got quite a lot of flexi pipe (plastic) that could be used to mate it to the intake?

pm me if your interested, just so i know how much to bring with me  Smile

Today I fitted the snork!  Very Happy
Went really well, the only tricky bit was cutting out the inner wing as I couldn't use the hole saw (89mm or 3 an half inch btw) as a hole was already there just a bit out of line!
After much careful grinding with a dremel I just got my grinder in under the inner wing and using a 1mm cutting disc butchered it! don't matter as its out of sight....
I used the full 3.1 airbox I got off omega63, and simply cut the top airtube in half and shoved it into the existing 3.0 inlet, dead easy  Very Happy
Got loads of pics, if anyone wants another 'how to'  I'll post it from start to finish  Wink
