Well its back  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

When I decided to go for this conversion after Von Troop had thrown yet another expensive hissy fit,I told Dan the spec I was looking for and he made it worse for himself by suggesting another couple of things  Laughing  Laughing

The result.......Well you know its not a 3.0 but neither would you think ita a 3.1  Wink
There's been a lot of hours on the phone and a lot of hours graft by I.I. (aka Aye,Aye or Ey Oop) to achieve what I wanted.
AFAIK this is probably the most comprehensive conversion in terms of functionality and performance gain, the only thing not achieved is the bloody rev counter   Rolling Eyes ,but that is still work in progess  Wink

So a big pat on the back to Independent Isuzu...Thanks Dan  thumbleft  and Pete & Daz  Razz

Very pleased , great job peeps Very Happy  got to get the road tyres off and offroad ones on and get in the mud  Twisted Evil
Sibertoft should be fun

ECU left in place with original functions such as Glow control,Ceramic heater control......Lots more fuel, lots more air and more efficient intercooling.
reckons somewhere between 140-150 BHP,I'd say 145 is about there.
It runs like a cross between the 3.0 and the 3.1...bags of bottom end and very smooth progressive take up thru the gears.Offroad in sticky HP muching terrain will be the telling test  Wink  I don't anticipate any issues  Razz

Little bit of offroad today, inclines and ditch crawling so as to get a direct comparason with the hissy fit special.
No difference in performance whatsoever except that this engine is a lot more controllable actually feels a deal smoother when twisting on ditches with less of the stop/go syndrome I had with the HFS......bags of low end torque  Very Happy .
Its going to take a little while to get used to it but if Carling were to do 3.1 convo's.....I think this is it  Razz
