I'd go in mine tomorrow
I've already rebuilt the motor, new head, seals, ORPS, valves re-shimmed etc. and as stated it doesn't matter if you drive a mile down the road or a 1000: I'd even say constant steady speed long distance use is kinder than school runs!
I would take the usual kit of belts, bulbs, fuses, maybe an ORPS, depending on the age of yours, an oil strainer/pickup ('cos I've got a spare one!) and oil as the correct grade isn't readily available everywhere.
You're not going anywhere the AA can't get to and parts can be shipped anywhere on earth overnight these days.....just go and have a great time! _________________ 1999 3.0 TD Duty SWB
