anyone seen or done a double din conversion on a trooper? i've got a double din screen that i'd like to fit in to mine as it's sat in the shed gathering dust from when i had my type r so i'd like to get some use out of it again. trouble is if you cut the middle section out of the trim the hole your left with is a lot larger then double din and you would need to cut the centre bit out of the dash as well, then the holes in the trim are staggered as well............think i might of just talked myself out of doing it lol

I really wanted to put my double din in the trooper, but after a load go googling and trawling eebuygum, it doesn't look possible if you want a tidy finish.

Or cut the middle bit out between the stereo and cubby, get a cage to make it secure and fibreglass (or similar) around it to make it look moulded in.
