Can I fit a land rover defender winch bumper onto my trooper ? ps will treat it first so no germs can be passed on  Laughing

Not an easy job to do ,wont bolt on needs some work  with the welder ,cutting of plates,more welding ,drilling .

True Pete ,trouble with the defender is the bolts go top to bottom and although you could weld the landy fixings to the trooper chassis they are spaced different as well ,real pain .

Be easier to get one made like some have done on here .

I know what you mean mr G, my winch mount origionally came of a defender and it was a pain to fit but with a few brackets welded on it fits pretty well.

Took me a couple of days to mod a disco tube to fit ..

Borrowed Mr G's mk winch mount design . It a good strong base to work from .
I do have a good engineering shop close at hand , as the winch plate was custom
bent .

Oh and the tube I used was the non-winch type .

I think there would be a big gap between the bumper and grill/headlights if you used
the defender winch type .

As said it can be done, somewhere there are pics/videos of mine, when fitted
Mine now wares an Arab bumper and winch, and IMHO looks better for it
