Hi Guys
I'm going to apply some under-seal to my trooper, I know it should not be applied to gear boxes, sumps and I assume propshafts, but what about the rear axle banjo.
I'm assuming it will get hot much the same as the gearbox or sump, only thing is mine looks as through there isn't a trace of protection on it, so what do you guys put on yours.
Thanks for any advice |

Hi,
Just before the winter I borrowed a compressor and treated mine from top to bottom with a Dinitrol kit:
http://www.rejel.com/rejel-store/classic-kits/din01m.aspx
Rear axle got the message with the DIN4941M Black Underbody Wax.
The cavity wax stunk out the car for a week or so 'cause I took all the trim panels off and did the insides of the frame too, but it disappeared once all the solvents evaporated off.
The only thing I would say is that the 3125 cavity wax was a bit thinner than I expected, when I do it again I will probably try the 3125HSM high solids version:

Hello C.B.
Thanks for the lowdown and the links, very informative, if it's good enough for yours it's good enough for mine.
I'll get some Dinitrol ordered.
Thanks again
