Hi Folks, Just Joined up.
Story so far, Bought my Trooper 3 weeks ago from a 4x4 dealer up here in the north east. (1999 3.0l duty 59600mls). Everything fine, got a service and new timing belt fitted before i collected it.
Went on internet for Trooper info and found this site........ OH NO WHAT HAVE I BOUGHT  Contacted isuzu uk to find out about any outstanding campaign work on my Trooper. Injectors and ceramic heater need doing !!!! (sounding familiar so far eh) Called local dealer regarding work needing done blah blah blah. Long and the short of it, Trooper went in today, should get it back on Thursday. 
So thanks for all the info on this site, without it i may also have had the driveway ornament ive read about here.
Will let you know how things went.

Good to hear of another 4JX1 owner who has had a helpful response from IM/ dealer. "so ouir living has not been in vain" to quote the song.
Hope the result gives a sorted motor. As others have said, when their going their superb.

The garage are still waiting on parts for mine to be done... they said there is a bit of a backlog at present due to the amount of Troopers being recalled

Keep on at them Chris. I made myself a complete nuicance on the phone as i got the waititng for parts line too. 
Good luck and keep an eye on that dipstick.

Just phoned Kendal Motor Village ... the parts have arrived, however they are snowed under with ... 3.0DT troopers to fix and will im now on the list to be sorted as soon as they can.

Well, i got it back today as promised. goin like a train.  Hope thats it now as i have really taken to it in the short time ive had it. Again thanks for all the info on this site, its been priceless.

Mine goes in on 17/04 cant wait! the thing goes like a train pulls from cold no black smoke i love it. i'm expecting great things when its done
