Ive put the odd gallon of veg oil in with my diesel (when low and no garage near)
But i have heard it causes problems if used on its own, i would go with biodiesel myself.

My old 2.8 would probably be ok, but the 3.0 is problematic at best when it comes to injectors etc.
The more they make them technical the more problems they have Sad

Just found this link http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/budget2006/bn38.htm

Apparantly the 2.8 will run fine on 100% providing it is kept hot so the 3.1 should be the same. I fancied trying but waiting for a 100% reliable preheating system for the oil. Got 2 tanks & changeover solenoids in place already so just need the heaters. You are supposed to pay duty on oil if used for fuel but who would know if you buy as much as a chip shop from a wholesaler?
