Confused auto gearbox at launch

Our 93 trooper gets a bit confused when you put your foot down to take off from a standstill. It's kind of like the auto get confused about what its supposed to do, you can feel it trying to do something, but it takes a good second to sort itself out and get going.

Although the more I think of it, I guess it could be a bit of turbo lag, but if thats the case, then the engine is *beep* without the turbo.

Anyone have a similar thing with theirs?

I might throw the boost gauge back on and see if it is related to the turbo.

it drives me mad stil not got ancer yet been looking for 2 years now im thinking of changing box to a manual .
