do you think that supermarket fuel is different? a friend of mine drives a tanker and he drops at morrisons then str8 to an esso or shell. also supermarket service stations all ae new tanks so less chance of soiled fuel than an old branded station.
sorry to hear of your trouble dave i feel for you. _________________ Summer is here and the kids wanna be out all night! |

I always fill at Morrisons... its the cheapest in my area and all the refineries are the same so there should by no difference. _________________ Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max LE | 265/65R18 BF Goodrich AT LTM No.60

Tricky one this, tankers have multiple tanks so could carry different grades, and refinery's could for all I know produce different grades.
The boss of a taxi firm was telling me he used to fill his fleet at Tescos, then he changed to shell, and was certain that there was a marked difference in MPG, and he should know
There are a lot of myths about fuel, like "you need to re-tune to run red diesel" Ive watched derv coming of a ship and there is a little tap that injects the dye, and I think a traceable chemical in. Quite funny as when the delivery was complete the tap was shut and what was left in the pipe was white, and a bit of a nudge nudge job _________________ Front Aussie Locker - Rear LSD - Petrol Diffs

Chris last year (i posted about this at the time)i had a 5p off per litre voucher for tesco, i filled up the next day i noticed harder starting more smoking less power i could not put my finger on the problem the trooper just did not seem its old self.We were chatting on here about fuel differances so when empty i used branded, problem gone.you seem to have the same problems.try 50 ltres of branded fuel it will only cost about £2 extra to try it. |

im nearly glad to read this topic as ive just noticed black soot on the bumper just above the exhaust on my 3.0l , it only appears when you nail the throttle and it definitaley wasnt smokin at the mot test 2 weeks ago.is it possible just to be the fuel? mine has been in for the titanium injectors 6 weeks ago. could it be anything to do with them. _________________ pulls like a train |
