Hi guys,
I just got a 1991 Bighorn imported from Japan (2.8 4JB1-T). For a 15 year old vehicle it seems in great shape, but there's one thing that seems a little off. When the vehicle's idling and you step on the brake quickly and repeatedly, the brake warning light comes on. It seems to be something to do with low vacuum in the brake booster (servo) 'cause if you unplug the sensor it doesn't come on. (At least I assume that's a vacuum sensor on the brake booster) The light doesn't come on as easily if you rev it up, either. The brake pedal feels good and there doesn't seem to be any vacuum leaks.

Okay now the question...I saw on another forum that this is normal. That seems a little strange so I thought it's ask: Does anyone have any experience with this?

yes it is bud, as it can't keep up with the vacuum on tick-over, so shows the light nothing to worry about my friend.

Yep as Si said, perfectly normal. At idle the vacuum pump isn't producing a whole lot of vacuum so when you repeatedly stomp on the brake at idle you run out of vacuum and the warning light comes on. At higher revs this isn't an issue.
