not sure wheather to post here but i bought a citation 3.0 from pontyclun car cales not a isuzu dealer but within 3 weeks the exhaust went with the cat converter the following day the fuel tank leaking also found out the recalls not done all 3 of them and the final straw was breaking down on the day coming back off hols and the aa had to tow us back  the garage took almost a week to pick it up now we are doing battle to get a refund  as we hav spotted a duty trooper for sale a 2003 model  so if anyone lives in my neck of the woods  watch out for rhis car sales

little update since my orignal post i have had a nearside caliper go which was covered by warranty but discs and pads were not which cost me £177 and just recently  the master barke cylinder a cost of £469 and a hole in the brake pipe another £150 a total of 609 cylinder was covered so had back the coost of that but the original garage pontyclun car sales did not want to know us at all said it had nothing to do with so i got in touch with the ministry of transport but they didnt want to know either as the car was outside their time limit of 3 months  after the mot which i might add was also done by pontyclun car sales  i told the ministry i did not want the car inspected but the garage investigated but to no avail it comes to something when you cant turn to anyone in these matters

Totally unrelated but a point to bear in mind in you have a problem.
A few years back I had an old Renault which had a tick over problem. Took it to a local Renault franchise and the car was returned in a VERY poor state. The car would drive itself with touching the accelerator pedal. Complained to the MAIN Renault dealer who had a look. Gave the car back and asked me to take it back to 1st and ask for an MOT to be done and mention they had not cured tick over. Had the car MOT'd and was told to meet main dealer 'round the corner'. They took the car on loader back to main workshop where it was impounded. Next day DOT men arrived and took the car apart. They found countless faults as a result of work done/bodged. 1st garage lost its MOT status. Renault took away franchise and I get a summons from owner.
Renault took up case on my behalf and the garage was closed. Staff lost MOT licence for life. I got my old car back 1000% repaired.
THe DOT do take an interest in any garage who fails to deliver on an MOT
