Hi a friend recommended that I should fit a oil cooler to the gear box so to reduce the chance of over heating the oil when towing heavy loads.  I have fitted a kit to my dad disco before and was wondering has anyone one got any recommendation in which kit is best I usually get my kits for think automotive in Isleworth Middlesex. http://www.thinkauto.com

I have a LWB 3.1td lotus bighorn

If you do fit one make sure you still use the one that allready fitted in the rad so the water can warm the fluid, if its over cooled it wont change gear properly.

So I take it is not a really problem with the oil getting to hot on troopers.  I have looked at the site and they do thermo valves that are part of a sandwich plate that goes on the oil filter housing.  But I haven't found a one for the gearbox yet.  Thanks for the reply markymoan  Smile
