You may want to check the thermostat, that open/closes the access to radiator.
And do you have enough antfreeze in the water? This stuff also moves the boiling point of water further up?

Hello there
I have just had the same problem and it was the thermostat, it cost £6.99 for a new one with gasket and took 30 mins. to fit.

hope this is of use

I had the same Problem with over heating on my 3.2 Duty SWB. I changed the thermostat and had the exact right amount of coolant in there and it still over heated above 60 MPH. In the end I had the core changed on the radiator (£120) and it is now running perfectly. I had to strip the radiator out and replace it myself, however it was easy to do. A new complete radiator would have cost £180+VAT.

After speaking to a mechanic that worked for ISUZU for 5 years he said that this is a common problem with the Trooper and it is not uncommon for Troopers to have 2 or 3 new radiators in a period or 2 years. Sad

I hope that is OK for you.
