Fuel tank (3L TD 2000 Trooper).

Dab. Just noticed damp patch on drive at rear of the vehicle. Waxoil appears to be melting on metal plate cover which protects the tank; looks like a diesel drip is the cause. Any experience of fuel tanks corroding at such an early stage, or is there another more likely reason?

Thanks for that possible "optimistic" suggestion. Once Arctic wind disappears, I'll get cover shield off and have a look-see.

Mine weeps a bit where some flexible tube is pushed over the metal tube from the tank.

You can see it from the front of the tank with the guard in place.

Worth a look.
