No i think the 3.0 has to have 5/30 oil, Someone will come on to tell you where to find it i'm sure. I think halfords sell it but don't quote me on that.

yep, 5w30. It has to be that to get the correct pressure for the injectors to work, or something like that. Chris'll be along to clarify that  Smile

Some of the 5w30 oils are suitable for both epetrol and diesel engines - try a vauxhall garage as they often stock it.

We sell the Carplan 5w30 at work that is suitable for both...

Yes, Vauxhall do a fully synthetic 5/30 which is good for petrol and diesel engines.

Last time I bought some it cost me about £50 for a box of 4x 5ltr bottles which is pretty reasonable I think.

I think most oils these days are good for both, years ago oil for diesels was the only one with detergent in, modern oil is a lot more advanced.

No, definately 5 ltrs, but I just remembered they give me "Trade Club" prices so it may be a bit more at normal Retail. Still reckon you'd get a good deal if you ask - why not try to blag a Trade Club price anyway!?
