has anybody used this in their trooper, i put £20 (£1.02 litre Shocked ) in last friday just to see how it went, (been using shell extra diesel and the milage went from 25mpg to 31mpg),
definatly got more poke in it and pulls alot better in 4th gear than before but think looking at it the mpg has dropped back to about 29mpg

Not tried it in the troop, but in my Fourtrak it definitely made a difference, more power, mpg went from 28 to 32 (I kept loads of records to compare this), I mox with veggie, so the power balances out the bit you lose with veggie.  The good thing with Shell is that this is there standard fuel, unlike the others where it's an enhanced (pay more fuel).  I had to fill up when I picked the trooper up, stopped at a BP station to fill up, didn't notice which pump I'd picked, noticed it said diesel... £45 quid in noticed it was there ultimate at £1 a litre.... almost fell over

I must admit to being a bit scepticle when it comes to "super fuels" ... however at the weekend I filled up the trooper on V Power and WOW!!! it really does make a difference and will certainly be trying it for a few tanks to see if it makes any difference ... pity its 99p per litre tho  Crying or Very sad

The BP Ultimate Diesel makes a difference too.  I used it for a short while before the last MoT in the MK1 and the emissions actually dropped from the previous year a touch!

Well, I finally got to use it last week. put £50 into an almost empty tank ( yellow light was on ), and I have to say WOW. What a difference.
I've not done any proper measurements yet, but it seemed to go a lot further than I am used to, and there is definitely a big improvement in performance.
Most noticable by its absence now I've gone back to Shell diesel extra. ( The shell garage near me hasn't got the new fuel yet  Rolling Eyes )

I'm still in two minds on this one - filled using Shell V power last week and it's not looking like I am getting much better mpg (although I have done 100 miles towing Caravan and with Roof box on so that may make a difference)

I tried it a couple of weeks ago and was quite impressed.

Has anyone tried to work out if the increase in MPG is worth the extra cost?

It's 99.9 in Telford, shell extra is 99.3.

Mind you, if you have to fill up on a motorway service station normal diesel is 99.9p a litre

Well I've been reading all this stuff about V Power so as we passed a Shell station in Shefield today and the tank was aproaching the red I decided we'd give it a go, we've been using Tesco ever since we got the truck in August and I've notice the flat spots and the lack of power and the tendancy to top out at speed but just assumed the truck needed a service or the engine was limited in some way.
God was I wrong, the only thing is I put ordinary Shell Diesel in before I realised it wasn't V Power but even that made a huge difference to the performance, so all I can say is Tesco fuel is *beep* and I'll make sure it's V Power next time, hell knows what the truck will run like with that in the tank.

i only use the shell extra now (the v power tooo dear at the mo) you should notice a mpg gain as well, i used asda diesel for a bit and would only get 25mpg, switched to shell an went to 32mpg,(vpower would do bout 30 mpg but i put that down to booting it more Laughing ),
currently getting bout 35 mpg but im chugging round at bout 40-50mph everywere at the mo, does make a difference going slow rather than 70mph  Laughing
